Eligibility & who can apply

DFF welcomes applications from feminist activists and feminist movement builders across the Middle East and North Africa. We especially prioritise new and emerging groups, groups that have never been funded before, and established groups launching a new project.

We prioritise projects and applications led by women and trans* groups and collectives, from any country in the MENA region. Applications are accepted in Arabic, French, and English.

No. Only collectives, groups, or organisations are eligible to apply. We fund collective feminist work to support shared accountability and broader impact within communities.

No. We work with both registered and unregistered groups. For unregistered groups, we find a way, case by case, to transfer funds safely while keeping spending transparent and aligned with feminist values.

No. We work case by case to find a safe way to get funds to groups that do not have access to a bank account.

Yes. There is no age limit to apply.

No. We prioritise work led by women and trans* groups and collectives.

Yes, you can apply. We do prioritise applications led by women and trans* groups and collectives.

Yes. New and emerging groups are among those we prioritise for support.

No. Previous funding is not required, and we especially encourage groups that have never been funded before to apply.
